Thank Goodness It’s Frauday!!!

Atlantix Partners is proud to announce that it sponsored and participated in a successful joint fraud conference with The Institute of Internal Auditors Miami Chapter and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners at the FIU Koven’s Conference Center last Friday, January 24, 2020.  There were over 350 professionals from South Florida, including internal auditors, CPAs and many large public companies.

Also, there was a stellar lineup of speakers who shared their experiences, including…

  • Sherron Watkins, former Enron Vice President, who wrote a letter to the Chairman in the Summer of 2001 warning him that the Company’s methods of accounting were improper. Sherron is coming to the Miami Chapter to share her experience.
  • Cynthia Cooper, an accountant, who formerly served as the Vice President of Internal Audit at WorldCom. In 2002, Cooper and her team of auditors worked together and often at night and in secret to investigate and unearth $3.8 billion in fraud at WorldCom.
